Chris Myth

Christopher Smith is an unusually talented guitarist and vocalist who is currently playing solo and duo acoustic shows in both South Florida and Colorado. 

Originally hailing from Pittsburgh PA, Chris began playing at age 15 and then headed down south to the crossroads of Coastal Carolina College, and upon receiving a degree in Biology, began his career in a blues/rock band 5 nights a week, as biologists tend to do.

He was later lured to the historical musical magical mountain town of Nederland Colorado, where he began teaching guitar and playing throughout the mountains as a solo guitarist, and with some of his bands such as Los Funbags, Cool White Deluxe, and the infamous Asses of Fire. 

 Chris has played thousands of shows along the journey, and continues to evolve and entertain on a wide range of stages in the US and Portugal

 He has also been honored to perform as a lead guitarist for national touring acts such as Austin Giorgio, and has been on the same bill as Taj Mahal, the Funky Meters, Leftover Salmon, the String Cheese Incident, and the Yonder Mountain String band.    

Chris has written an ever-growing collection of dozens of original songs that feature his authentic voice and words, as well as his unique and powerful guitar playing which often employs open tunings and slide guitar on both 6 and 12 string guitars.   He also   works from an extensive list of hundreds of crowd pleasing cover songs from great artists, that he recreates in his own style.
